About

I’m a passionate mental health professional driven by a desire to help individuals and groups overcome challenges and achieve lasting well-being. My background bridges the gap between scientific research (M.Sc. (research) in Neuroscience) and a wealth of clinical experience. My clinical experience spans from neurorehabilitation, geriatric psychiatry, psychosomatic and psychiatric illnesses to addiction.

Next to being a psychologist, I am dedicated to connect my clinical practice with academia. In 2024, I was honored with a student-led nomination for the “Teacher Of The Year Award” for my work as a lecturer of Psychology at Leiden University (The Netherlands). I was also nominated for the Education Prize of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University. In 2023, I obtained certification in EMDR, which is an evidence-based therapy that helps address trauma and past experiences.

Currently, I am training to become a board-certified, licensed psychotherapist. My ongoing education in systemic psychotherapy ensures you receive the most up-to-date and effective help. I am fluent in Persian, English, German and can work with you any of these languages.
